Flickr community grows so fast that media does no stop to discuss the website.

And it looks like there is nothing outstanding about this service - image storage and share feature are promoted by tens if not by hundreds of the websites.

In my opinion, Flickr.com success factors are:

1. They were first to scale this web service type
2. They have built simple and very professional website interface and provide top notch sevice.
3. They belong to Yahoo! The latter can pump the money into advertising the website. Added to that, Yahoo! owns a great number of its own high quality web property to place Flickr ads for free.

Any other ideas why Flickr.com is such a success?
