The other day was looking through some image albums (printed) and realized the charm of black and white photos. I wonder if there is in the market a relatively cheap and affordable digital camera that allows to make black and white photos? Thank you.

A lot of low-end digital cameras allow for B&W shooting somewhere in their menus. However, it seems that most digital cameras have a wider tonal range in colour mode than in B&W mode. Because of this limited tonal range, better results can be achieved by shooting in colour and then converting the image to B&W with image editing software.

yes, i know now that it is preferable to convert color images to B&W with some software. i use PhotoShop.
