The Architecture of Moscow from the 1930s to the early 1950s. Unrealised projects - it is hard to say why those projects were not completed. World War II was likely the event that interefered with the realization of the ideas. Those pictures scare a bit if you think of the Stalin dictatorship at full force exactly at that time period.
