| I wonder if anyone uses manual settings for their digital cameras? It seems quite unnessary when you have some preset modes. |

| I agree with digi - if you make use of automatic settings ONLY - you will feel dull in no time. When you start experimenting, when you see your progress - your pictures get better and better - that is fun. And you can't get that fun with preset modes. |

Also, there are times when the auto settings will not allow you a wide enough range of adjustment to things like exposure compensation, flash intensity and shutter speed, to mention a few. _________________ All the Best, Jeff
