DSLR camera - how different is it from a digital camera (besides the price)?

digital SLR: a single lens reflex camera.

Unlike a camera with a separate viewfinder, in a SLR camera, you actually look through the lens at your subject. A 35mm still camera with removable lenses is typically an SLR.
