Well, I saw this picture in one of our contests and I liked it very much. I liked the atmosphere, calm colors and a lonely figure.
And I asked the author to let me edit it.
Everything I did is
increased contrast with Overlay blending mode ( low opacity);
added a little of vignetting to make the shot more dimensional;
dodged the highlights of the waves and burned the shadows of the pier;
lightened a figure a bit.
used High Pass filter (soft light blending mode) to increase sharpness.
How do you think this post processing is successful? _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |

| To me, the higher contrast (and thus, brighter colors) and the darkened shadows draw the eye to the subject of the picture. Nicely edited. |

I see a clear difference. Much sharper and richer color. Nice job. _________________ -- |

Thank you all.
I was just trying not to destroy the author's atmosphere. _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |
