For some reason unbeknownst to me, this shot didn't make it into the night&sky contest that's being voted on right now. So I thought I post it here and maybe get some good comments on it.
There's one problem, however, and it's got to do with small images, JPEG compression and different monitor color spaces. This shot is a part of an expansive exposure series. I chose it so that the bottom still shows some detail and structure without being totally black or becoming too distracting. So if you see too much detail or too little, it's probably the monitor setting that's not optimal for it. Anyway, here goes: |

| Even though I'm probably not seeing it the way it's meant to be seen (I had to download it and change the exposure to see the foreground), nice shot! I don't really have any negatives or specific positives, but it's still a good pic. |

| I don't think it's dark. I really like the half-colors of the earth, where some trees are slightly seen. This mist is really beautiful! But I think it's too much of dark space in the bottom of the shot, which tells nothing. This shot will be worth to print in some album with landscapes if some of the bottom cm are cut off. |
