I wanted to thank Chieflong for taking the time to post examples of the types of shots he was looking for in his latest contest. It makes it much easier for me as an entrant to know what is expected and as an evaluator/rater to know if the entries are addressing the theme of the contest; which I feel is a very important component. Oh and BTW asking for new shots... NICE TOUCH!! No one is going to learn if they keep dragging the same ole stuff out of the archives.

Thank you Jim for the kind kudos. I thought I would try this and see what kind of response I would get. I love assignments as it's one of the best ways to improve ones skills. Waaaayyyy back when I was in high school we had a photography portion to our art class and each week we were given an assignment which I always looked forward to. It helps bring out ones creative side. I have no way of knowing if the folks here took the assignment seriously or if they just went through some of the stock photos they have but I hope people here take it as a great learning experience.

The examples are just a way to get the folks here interested. We are all here to learn and better our photographic skills no matter what level one is at. That is also why I have chosen to put it in an open class as opposed to the advanced.

And i would like to thank Guy for helping to run the forums.

Though i try to be online much time, sometimes i am away. And some questions are asked. And when i am back online it is great to see that Guy took care of that.
